Fasching has the skill and size that scouts covet. Fasching is a good skater that is very agile for a larger player, showing that he can keep up with small, swift players. Fasching has soft hands, giving him the ability to control the puck in traffic and receive difficult passes from teammates. Fasching has a good hard shoot but must continue to work on his accuracy and release speed.

Since leaving Apple Valley Fasching has become more aggressive on the puck and has stepped up his physical play in all three zones. He is a hard worker on the defensive end of the puck as he moves his feet and does a good job of pestering opposing players. His play in the slot and around the net have shown improvements as he has demonstrated a lot more strength in these areas.

Fasching is a good passer but needs to grasp when to pass and when to shoot the puck. He seems to have the mentality to be more of a playmaker than a finisher. He will have to work on recognizing scoring opportunities and be more selfish with the puck at these times.
