May does a good job of playing tight man-to-man defense, giving the opponent very little room to operate. Shows very little hesitation in his decision making and is rarely caught out of position. May continues to show added strength as he is winning more one-on-one battles. Does a good job playing the body of the opposing puck carrier, creating turnovers in the process. He has the characteristics of a good leader as he is very calm and collected under duress. Stick work and shot are a bit inconsistent, some improvement is needed in this area.
